With BREATH & BRASS
he swings gutbucket alchemy
& hands us back JASS
-mine perfume of Story
-ville whores, hemidemisemiquavers
a dizzy My-Cuntree-Tizzathee
pumping his cornet-a-pistons as if
milking the overflowing udders of
EXUBERANCE
                         utterly
                                     dry
his cornucopian horn, his kitchen sink
-opated genius
Proclamatin' Emancipation for the REST of us,
a bowler
hat to mute another
As-Below-So-Above
solo so that he conflates
anatomy & astronomy
& herniates the heavens before
laughing a teardrop
from his trumpet's spitduct
onto the wore-out
dancefloor.
