Footbridge

The King Salmon imprinted
on Ryan's jacket
is open-mouthed, full-bodied,
textured and surreal.
The storm-ripped maples,
the garage-sized wagon,
the yapping Corgi,
change, in the park's
last eight minutes
of failing light.
Winter run-off
shivers the planks.
The man in Chinook-wear
fades.
The fish coat ripples.
The river rains.
