Simon Anton Niño Diego Baena spends his spare time on the road with his wife, Xandy. His chapbook, The Blood Is Within the Architecture (Pawn Press), will be out this year. in the distant
   fog

A petal
falls
      softly
unlike Icarus

Near that broken fountain
a man          walks
         within
       the silence
of stones          of bullet holes
   
Nothing stirs
only
his moving
