Sanguis

"You woke up. You contemplated the street below your apartment. You took nostalgic pleasure in the mix of the dark early morning sky, the cool breeze of that late May day, and the drone sound of traffic. You cut yourself badly in the chin while shaving. You couldn't find any bandages. You found that the pharmacy was still closed. You bought a small packet of tissues and applied one to your chin. Your car wouldn't start. You threw the tissue away and got into a taxi. You noticed the driver looking at you. Your chin was running with blood. You finished the packet before getting off. You went directly to the toilet after getting to work. You tried to clean the blood off your shirt but it only made the stain worse. You tried to find something with which to wipe the blood and sweat off your face as you sat on your desk. Your boss tells you to take the morning off. You went to the public hospital. You've consumed the three tissue packets by the time you were waiting for your turn in the emergency room. The male nurse told you to wait further and said that it was just a cut. You decided to go to a nearby private clinic. You waited for a taxi. You walked back in as you started to feel dizzy. You begged. You got yelled at by the nurse and thrown out by the security when your voice got loud. You decided to walk to the clinic as no taxis seemed to be around. You got a block away before you got too dizzy. You walked into an alley to sit on some stairs. You collapsed before you reached there. Is this what happened?"

"Perhaps. I don't remember."
